Here lies what remains of my first home recorded album; Sleeping.

After a night of dream tossed sleep; electrical storms arcing the sky; adventures looking for explanation, all still vividly recalled here now 10 years later, I awoke to the smell of burning electrics.
On going downstairs, the sweet reek increasing, I discovered the source to be the recording computer in my downstairs study.
The device had been plugged in at the socket, but powered off all night as normal. Despite this, it was somehow fried. Properly fried.
As it wasn`t my only PC, I was able to subsequently check each individual module to discover the true extent of damage done. I was shocked to find that, except for the mouse and one of my two souncards, everything was dead. Everything.
Mobo; cpu; graphics card; two hard drives; power supply and even the bloody keyboard! Each individually tested and confirmed to be beyond my repair.
Anyway, that was the end of all my cubase files. They had been backed up, yes, but only onto the second fried drive. Gone forever.

Sleeping is a compilation of what partial mixes and test runs remained, found on tape or cd never meant for final release, put together as an album as inoffensively as possible.
